Qazigund, Oct 12 (JKNS): A woman was killed while her husband sustained injuries after an i20 vehicle hit their motorcycle at Furrah Bypass, Mirbazar, in south Kashmir Qazigund.
An official told news agency JKNS that the accident occurred when the couple was reportedly crossing the highway on their motorcycle and the vehicle hit them.
The deceased has been identified as Fareeda Akhter, wife of Mohd Altaf Bhat, a resident of Baihama. Her husband, Mohd Altaf Bhat, son of Mohd Subhan Bhat, a resident of Baihama Qazigund, sustained injuries in the accident and was shifted to hospital for treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident. Further details are awaited. (JKNS)
