During the drive, various business establishments were thoroughly checked to detect any engagement of minor workers in violation of Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act and Juvenile Justice Act.

Business establishment owners were sensitized and made aware about the legal consequences of employing minors for work and were strictly warned to refrain from such practices.

The drive was aimed at preventing exploitation of children and ensuring strict implementation of child protection laws.

Sopore Police appeals to the general public and business community not to employ children below 18 years in any business establishment and to report any such incident to the nearest Police Station.
