PMMVY Training Programme Held in Anantnag to Enhance Effective Implementation of Scheme

Srinagar, Oct 8 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday re-designated senior IAS officer Chandraker Bharti (AGMUT:1996) as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) and revised the IAS batch of Ram Niwas Sharma from AGMUT:2010 to AGMUT:2009.

 

According to Government Order No. 1615-JK(GAD) of 2026, as per news agency JKNS, Bharti was promoted to the Apex Scale (Level-17 of the Pay Matrix) by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, vide order dated September 25, 2026.

 

Following his promotion, Bharti assumed charge in the Apex Scale on October 1, 2026, after which he was designated as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary).

 

In a separate notification issued on October 8, the General Administration Department as per JKNS, the batch of Ram Niwas Sharma, IAS, has been revised from AGMUT:2010 to AGMUT:2009 following the re-fixation of his seniority in the AGMUT cadre.

 

The revision has been made in terms of an order dated July 31, 2026, issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India.

 

The notification further directed that the official records of the officer be updated accordingly.

 

Both orders were issued by order of the Lieutenant Governor and signed by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government. (JKNS)
