Jammu, Oct 7 (JKNS): A woman constable of the Border Security Force (BSF) died after sustaining a critical bullet injury following an accidental discharge from a service rifle in the R.S. Pura area of Jammu, officials said.
Official sources told news agency JKNS that the incident occurred in the afternoon when the woman constable, posted at BOP Sushil (Sangral), sustained the bullet injury following the accidental discharge.
She was initially shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) R.S. Pura in critical condition and was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for further treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken. (JKNS)
