Magam, September 28: The Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC), Magam, under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Budgam, organised an awareness programme on traffic rules, road safety, safe driving practices and penalties under the Motor Vehicles Act at Town Hall, Magam.
The programme aimed to create awareness among students and the general public regarding observance of traffic rules, safe driving practices, responsible behaviour on roads and the legal consequences of traffic violations.
The programme was addressed by Advocate Shabir Zargar and law student Danish Parray. The speakers highlighted various aspects of traffic rules, road safety, safe driving practices and the importance of complying with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Students of Lucent International School, Magam, actively participated in the programme and shared their views on road safety and traffic rules. Their participation provided them an opportunity to contribute directly to the awareness campaign and understand the importance of responsible behaviour on roads.
Dr. Israr-ul-Nabi also attended the programme and shared his views on road safety and the need for responsible conduct among road users.
Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Magam, also actively participated in the programme and extended their support for its successful conduct.
A large number of students and teachers from Lucent International School, Magam, and Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Magam, attended the programme.
The speakers stressed the importance of responsible behaviour on roads, compliance with traffic rules, use of safety measures and awareness about fines and other legal consequences associated with traffic violations.
At the conclusion of the programme, emphasis was laid on the need for collective responsibility to make roads safer and promote a culture of law-abiding and responsible road users in society.
