Kupwara, Sept 28 (JKNS): A 12-year-old boy was killed after being attacked by a leopard in the Marsary area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS that the boy was attacked by a leopard in Marsary and sustained serious injuries in the incident.
The official said the boy later succumbed to his injuries, following which locals recovered his body from a nearby forest area.
The deceased was identified as Ayan Ashraf, 12, son of Mohammad Ashraf Mir, a resident of Zonrashi Chowkibal.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated. (JKNS)
