Srinagar, Sept 26 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday lauded the Armed Forces Medical Services for successfully conducting a Mega Eye Surgical Camp under Operation Drishti at Tangdhar in Karnah.
In a post on X, the Office of the J&K Lieutenant Governor as per news agency JKNS said that, the camp restored sight to 220 people through surgeries conducted at an underground operation theatre in the challenging border area.
“Kudos to surgeons & personnel of Armed Forces Medical Services for successfully conducting Mega Eye Surgical Camp under Operation Drishti at Tangdhar, Karnah,” the LG’s office said.
It said the achievement of restoring sight to 220 people in a remote border area was “remarkable”.
“The dedication of the medical team, led by Brig. Sanjay Kumar Mishra, embodies the true spirit of Operation Sadbhavna,” the post said.
The LG’s office added that the camp provided advanced eye surgeries, including phacoemulsification, retinal and glaucoma procedures, to residents of remote border hamlets.
“Bringing advanced eye surgeries to remote border hamlets ensures that no citizen is left behind,” it added. (JKNS)
