Srinagar, Sept 22 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday relieved Shri Mohd Zaid, SSP and Commanding Officer of 13 JKAP, to join the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as Superintendent of Police on deputation.
As per Government Order No. 472-Home of 2026, issued by the Home Department on September 22, 2026, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, Mohd Zaid, SSP, CO 13 JKAP (KPS013477) has been relieved with effect from Tuesday afternoon to join the NIA.
The order states that his deputation will initially be for a period of four years, extendable up to seven years, subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the NIA/Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
The Home Department issued the order in reference to a letter dated September 9, 2026, from the National Investigation Agency, Ministry of Home Affairs.
The order was issued by Chandraker Bharti, Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, by order of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
