Srinagar, Sept 22 (JKNS): The second day of the autumn session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly ended after nearly five hours of proceedings, with Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather adjourning the House till Thursday.
As per news agency JKNS, the adjournment came after discussion on the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) resolution seeking exemption for teachers appointed before January 1, 2019.
Minister for Education Sakina Itoo said the matter was important and should be discussed in detail before it is taken up for passage.
Following the Minister’s remarks, members agreed that the issue should first be discussed in the House before the resolution is passed.
The Speaker thereafter adjourned the House till Thursday. (JKNS)
