Omar said both the Government’s legislative business and issues raised by MLAs from the Treasury and Opposition benches concerning their respective areas and the people of Jammu and Kashmir would come up during the session.

“It is a seven-day session. It is obvious that many issues will be brought to the House. And the government will try to run the House properly and Hon’ble MLAs get a satisfactory response there,” he said.

On UPI charges, Omar said there was no charge on person-to-person money transfers and that individual consumers would not be charged until a specified ceiling was crossed. He said the Government of India should try not to impose charges on common people.

“If there is a charge on a company, I have no objection to it because the company earns better than the UPI anyway,” he said.

On the issue of water bodies, Omar said it was not a problem of the last two years but a legacy issue which could not be addressed overnight.

He said the Government was working through different schemes to protect water bodies and was making efforts not only to save them but also to increase them. (JKNS)
