Army Engages Uri Residents, Civil Administration To Strengthen Security, Welfare And Youth Empowerment

Srinagar, Sep 15 (JKNS): The Indian Army under the aegis of Dagger Division on Tuesday interacted with the local population and civil administration in Uri, Baramulla, focusing on strengthening security, healthcare and medical facilities, besides promoting youth skill development and empowerment programmes.

The Indian Army under the aegis of Dagger Division conducted an interaction with local population and civil administration of Uri, Baramulla. The interaction was aimed at strengthening of security, healthcare and medical facilities, awareness about youth skill development plans & empowerment programmes.
During the interaction, Indian Army and civil administration officials listened to the concerns of the local population and encouraged them to support peace and stability in the region. They highlighted the importance of protecting youth from influence of drugs, violence & anti-national activities. The programme emphasized upon the role of local population in guiding the youth towards education, employment and positive & constructive participation in society building.

Indian Army officials assured the local population of its continued support and welfare oriented assistance. They also emphasized that the organisation remains committed to local people, particularly in steering children towards education, skill development and government welfare schemes.

The local population & civil administration appreciated the outreach and expressed their willingness to cooperate in promoting peace and harmony in the society. Indian Army officials also reaffirmed its commitment towards empowerment of the local community. (JKNS)
