Seema Vig, Senior Vice President and Zonal Director, PARAS Health, said that joint health should not be ignored until pain or restricted mobility begins to affect everyday life.

“Healthy joints are essential to living an active and independent life. We need to shift our focus from merely treating joint problems to managing and preventing them effectively. Timely consultation, appropriate physical activity, rehabilitation and expert medical intervention can significantly improve outcomes for patients,” she said.

She added that PARAS Health Srinagar remains committed to delivering comprehensive and patient-centric healthcare through experienced specialists and integrated clinical services.

“Our doctors and healthcare professionals are doing a tremendous job every day, bringing together expertise, compassion and advanced medical care to improve the lives of patients. We are proud of their commitment and continue to strengthen our healthcare ecosystem to ensure quality and accessible care for the people of Kashmir,” Vig added.

Dr Murtuza Habib, Facility Director, PARAS Health Srinagar, said that awareness and early intervention remain key to improving health outcomes.

“At PARAS Health Srinagar, we believe in a holistic approach to healthcare. Our focus is not only on treating a medical condition but also on helping patients regain confidence, mobility and a better quality of life. Awareness initiatives such as these encourage people to seek timely medical advice and take preventive care seriously,” he said.

Dr Syed Asrar Ahmad Qadri, Director, Department of CVTS, PARAS Health Srinagar, highlighted the wider importance of physical and mental well-being in the overall healthcare journey.

“Modern healthcare increasingly recognises that recovery and well-being require a comprehensive approach. Physical rehabilitation, emotional well-being and appropriate therapeutic support can make a significant difference in a patient’s overall recovery and quality of life. It is important that people understand the value of seeking professional help whenever required,” he said.

Dr Haseeb Gani, Principal Consultant, Department of Orthopaedics, PARAS Health Srinagar, stressed the importance of taking care of joints from an early stage and not ignoring persistent pain or discomfort.

“Joint pain is often dismissed as a temporary problem or an inevitable part of ageing. However, persistent pain, stiffness or reduced mobility should never be ignored. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment can prevent the progression of many orthopaedic conditions,” Dr Gani said.

“Maintaining a healthy weight, staying physically active, following the right exercise routine and seeking expert medical advice when symptoms persist are important steps towards protecting joint health. Every patient requires an individualised approach, and timely intervention can help people remain active and independent for longer,” he added.

PARAS Health Srinagar continues to strengthen its commitment to quality, accessible and comprehensive healthcare in the Valley through specialised clinical services, experienced medical professionals and a patient-first approach.

The hospital reiterated the importance of preventive healthcare and encouraged people to prioritise their physical well-being, seek timely medical consultation and adopt healthy lifestyle practices for long-term joint and overall health.
