She said the Education Department has already approached the court and that the government intends to bring a resolution in the Legislative Assembly once it convenes.

“I will bring a resolution, and that resolution will be passed in the majority,” Itoo said, expressing hope that the move would help address the concerns of teachers and relieve them of the pressure they are facing.

The minister said the issue was not merely about whether teachers could take an examination, but also about respecting the dignity of those who themselves prepare large numbers of students for examinations.

She said the government would continue its efforts to find a solution while keeping the interests and dignity of teachers in consideration. ()
