Srinagar, Sept 4 (JKNS): A 19-year-old youth died after sustaining injuries in a road accident in Duroo area of Anantnag district on Friday, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that, the deceased, identified as Rahil Ganie, son of Javaid Ahmad Ganie of Dabruna, Anantnag, was initially taken to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag and later referred to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment.
The accident occurred when Rahil was riding a motorcycle and collided with an Alto car at Duroo.
He was subsequently brought to SKIMS Soura, where the attending doctors declared him brought dead, officials said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further details are awaited. (JKNS)
