Beerwah, Aug 28 (JKNS): On the auspicious occasion of 17th Rabi-ul-Awwal, marking the birth anniversary (Wiladat) of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), a grand Milad-un-Nabi rally and religious programme were organised at Isgandarpora Imambara, Beerwah.
The rally commenced from the Imambara and proceeded towards the Main Market, Isgandarpora, before culminating in the religious programme.
The event was organised under the auspices of the All J&K Shia Association, under the banner of Maarif-ul-Uloom Islamic, and under the leadership of Imran Reza Ansari.
A large gathering of devotees, including students of religious Maktabs, members and workers of the organisation, participated in the procession and religious programme. The event highlighted various aspects of the exemplary life, teachings and Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Addressing the gathering, prominent Shia Islamic scholar Sheikh Muhammad Hussain Zakiri said that following the Seerah of the Prophet of Mercy (PBUH) is the true essence of Eid Milad-un-Nabi and the celebration of his blessed birth.
He said that love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is not merely a verbal claim but must be reflected through adherence to Islam, Shariah and the noble Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH).
Sheikh Zakiri stressed that unless a Muslim strives to mould their life according to the exemplary conduct and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the claim of love remains incomplete.
Extending greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), he said the blessed month conveys a message of following the Qur’an and Sunnah, promoting brotherhood and unity among Muslims, and standing united against anti-Islamic and hegemonic conspiracies.
He further said that the real source of strength, dignity and unity of Muslims lies in their love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and in faithfully following his teachings.
The Week of Unity celebrations and Milad programmes being held across Kashmir aim to spread the message of peace, brotherhood, religious harmony and unity, while encouraging people, particularly the younger generation, to understand and follow the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
