Srinagar, Aug 24 (JKNS): The body of a 12-year-old boy who drowned in Nallah Sindh at Fatehpora in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district has been retrieved on Monday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Mohsin Mukhtar, son of Mukhtar Ahmad Lone, a resident of Bamloora, Ganderbal.
The boy had reportedly gone to Nallah Sindh to take a bath when he drowned in the water body, officials told news agency JKNS.
Following the incident, locals informed the police, after which a joint search and rescue operation was launched to trace the boy.
The body was subsequently retrieved from the water body. Further proceedings in connection with the incident have been initiated by the police. (JKNS)
