Srinagar, Aug 21 (JKNS): The Special Crime Wing (SCW), Kashmir of Crime Branch J&K, on Friday conducted a search at the residential premises of a J&K Police constable in Safakadal, Srinagar, as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged forgery of date-of-birth and educational qualification documents used for appointment in the police department.
As per news agency JKNS, Special Crime Wing, Kashmir of Crime Branch J&K, conducted a house search at Safakadal, Srinagar, in connection with the investigation of Case FIR No. 10/2026 registered under Sections 420, 468 and 471 RPC. The search was carried out in compliance with a search warrant issued by the Hon’ble Court of Special Mobile Magistrate (PT&E), Srinagar.
The case pertains to allegations regarding appointment in the J&K Police Department through submission of forged documents relating to date of birth and educational qualifications. As part of the ongoing investigation, the Special Crime Wing is presently conducting a search at the residential premises of SG Ct. Manzoor Ahmad Najar at Safakadal, Srinagar.
The search is being conducted in accordance with due process of law. Further details will be shared as the investigation progresses.
