According to the locals, the road had remained in a dilapidated condition for a long time, causing considerable difficulties in daily commuting.

Residents said the road connecting Sail, Rawatpora and adjoining areas serves as an important link for several villages. Its poor condition had created particular difficulties for commuters during rainfall and adverse weather conditions. With the completion of macadamization work, residents are now hopeful of having a smoother, safer and more convenient travel facility.

According to the residents, the road is used daily by students, farmers, employees, traders, labourers and the general public. Its improvement is expected not only to reduce travel difficulties and commuting time but also to strengthen connectivity between the adjoining villages.

The locals said improved road connectivity is also expected to boost economic activity in the area. Farmers will be able to transport their agricultural produce to markets more easily, while traders and other business operators will benefit from smoother transportation of goods. Students are also expected to have better access to educational institutions.

The road construction and macadamization work was carried out by road contractor Umar Rashid Shah, whose efforts, dedication and quality of work were appreciated by the local residents. They said the completion of the project and improvement in the road condition has provided major relief to the people of the area.

The residents particularly appreciated the efforts of Umar Rashid Shah and said he played an important role in completing the project. They expressed hope that the quality of the road would be maintained through proper upkeep and timely maintenance in the future.

Locals also said that improved road connectivity would provide significant assistance during emergencies. Ambulances, Fire and Emergency Services vehicles and other essential service vehicles would be able to reach affected areas more easily. Thus, the improved road is expected to contribute not only to better transportation but also to public safety.

Residents of Sail and Rawatpora said the completion of the road marks an important step towards improving basic infrastructure in the area. They said the completion of the long-demanded road construction and macadamization work has provided significant relief to the public.

The residents appealed to the District Administration to identify other dilapidated roads in rural areas of Budgam district and undertake their repair and macadamization on a priority basis. They emphasized that better road connectivity in rural areas is essential for improving public services, education, healthcare, trade and overall development.

The local residents once again expressed their gratitude to the R&B Department Beerwah, District Administration Budgam, Beerwah Administration and road contractor Umar Rashid Shah, saying that the completion of the road has fulfilled one of their important and long-standing public demands.

They also expressed hope that similar development projects would be prioritized in the future and that road, water, electricity and other basic facilities in Sail, Rawatpora and adjoining villages would be further improved to provide residents with better infrastructure and a higher quality of life.
