Budgam, Aug 17 (JKNS): General Secretary of the All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association and senior Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference leader Abid Hussain Ansari today visited Khanpora, Khag, along with Mudasir Karim, President of the Youth Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference, and Wahid Khan, District President Youth Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference Budgam.
During the visit, Ansari called on the family of renowned contractor Ghulam Mohammad Khan at his residence and expressed deep grief and condolences over the demise of his father. He prayed for the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
The delegation also visited other bereaved families in the area, offered Fateha for the departed souls and prayed for patience and strength for the survivors. Ansari said that he stood with the affected families during their hour of grief and prayed to Almighty Allah for the elevation of the ranks of the deceased and patience for their families.
Later, Ansari interacted with residents of Khanpora and adjoining areas and listened to their grievances. Locals highlighted several long-pending issues, including poor road connectivity, shortage of drinking water, inadequate power supply, drainage problems, and insufficient healthcare and educational facilities. They urged him to take effective measures for the permanent resolution of these basic issues.
Ansari assured the residents that their genuine demands and grievances would be taken up with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Deputy Commissioner Budgam and the concerned government departments. He said continuous coordination would be maintained with the authorities to address issues related to roads, water, electricity, health and education and to ensure that development projects are implemented on the ground.
He said public service remains the core objective of his political activities and that ensuring basic amenities for every citizen is among his foremost priorities. He also reiterated his commitment to working for the overall development and welfare of the people of the area.
At the conclusion of the visit, Ansari also visited the residence of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference District President Budgam Wahid Khan, where he held detailed discussions with party workers regarding organisational matters, strengthening public outreach and further enhancing the party’s grassroots presence. He urged workers to maintain continuous contact with the people, highlight their concerns and make every possible effort for their redressal. (JKNS)
