Kupwara, Aug 14 (JKNS): Today, along with Hon’ble MLA Karnah, Janab Javed Ahmad Mirchal Sahib, we met the Worthy Chief Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control Department, Kashmir, and strongly took up several long-pending water supply and irrigation issues concerning the people of Sub-Division Karnah.
The major issues discussed included the Balthani–Kadhama Water Supply Scheme via Jada and Batllan, Left Irrigation Schemes at Sudpora and Prada, along with irrigation and water-related issues of Gundi, Gujran, Gomal and Jabdi.
The Worthy Chief Engineer Sahib gave a positive and encouraging response and assured that necessary action would be initiated to address these issues within a week. Telephonic feedback was also taken from the XEN Karnah regarding the present status and follow-up of the schemes.
These efforts reflect the commitment of Hon’ble MLA Karnah, Janab Javed Ahmad Mirchal Sahib, towards taking the genuine issues of the people to the concerned authorities and ensuring timely action.
