Anantnag, Aug 13 (JKNS): Two persons were killed and two others injured after lightning struck the Gawran Nard area of Anantnag district on Thursday, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS that the deceased have been identified as Faizan Ahmad, son of Mohd Yaqoob Chard, 18, resident of Gawran, and Bilal Ahmad Battana, son of Nazir Ahmad, 16, resident of Redwani Gawran.
The injured have been identified as Sajad Ahmad Battana, son of Sai Battana, 15, resident of Redwani Gawran, and Shareef Ahmad Battana, son of Jumma, resident of Redwani Gawran.
The injured persons were shifted to PHC Larnoo for initial medical treatment, the official said.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken. (JKNS)
