Kupwara, Aug 12 (JKNS): In a proud moment of recognition for the ex-servicemen community of Karnah, President of the Ex-Servicemen Union Karnah, Abdul Qayoom Mir, was honoured and appreciated by the District Administration Kupwara for his dedicated service, commendable contribution and sustained efforts towards the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.
The recognition was accorded on the recommendation of the Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer, Kupwara, acknowledging Abdul Qayoom Mir’s active role in representing the concerns of the ex-servicemen fraternity and working for their welfare and dignity.
The honour is being seen as a significant gesture of appreciation for the services rendered by Mir towards strengthening coordination between the ex-servicemen community and the administration. His efforts in highlighting the issues and requirements of veterans and facilitating their engagement with the concerned authorities have earned appreciation among members of the ESM fraternity.
Members of the Ex-Servicemen Union Karnah expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara for recognising the contribution of their union president and extending encouragement to the ex-servicemen community.
The fraternity also conveyed special appreciation to the Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer, Kupwara, whose recommendation played an important role in bringing the contribution of Abdul Qayoom Mir to the notice of the District Administration.
The members said that such recognition not only honours an individual but also acknowledges the sacrifices, services and continued contribution of the entire ex-servicemen community. They maintained that appreciation from the administration provides renewed motivation to veterans to continue working for the welfare of their fellow ex-servicemen and for the betterment of society.
Speaking on the occasion, members of the ESM fraternity described the recognition as a matter of pride for Karnah and said that Abdul Qayoom Mir has consistently remained connected with the concerns of veterans, serving as a bridge between the community and the administration.
