The case pertains to a protest held at S.K. Park on August 4, during which police have alleged that a group of protesters attempted to breach barricades and obstruct personnel deployed for maintaining law and order.

Police have further alleged that during the ensuing scuffle, Iltija Mufti assaulted a police officer and bit his forearm, causing a bleeding injury.

The injured officer was shifted to hospital, where he was provided medical treatment, including wound management, anti-rabies vaccination and tetanus prophylaxis, sources said.

Her appearance before the police is part of the ongoing investigation, and further proceedings will be conducted in accordance with law, officials said. (JKNS)
