Srinagar, July 31 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved a ₹6.59 crore project for the conservation and upgradation of the historic Imambara Zadibal in Srinagar, marking a significant step towards preserving one of the Valley’s prominent religious and heritage sites.
According to the Office of the Chief Minister, J&K, as per news agency JKNS, the project aims to preserve the rich heritage character of the historic Imambara while simultaneously upgrading essential infrastructure and facilities for devotees and visitors.
Officials said the initiative is intended to improve the overall experience for pilgrims and visitors while ensuring that the historical and architectural significance of the Imambara is maintained.
The government said the project reflects its commitment to preserving Jammu and Kashmir’s cultural and religious heritage alongside improving public infrastructure. (JKNS)
