Ramban, July 29 (JKNS): In a major action against terrorism and its support network, Ramban Police on Wednesday attached immovable properties worth over ₹90 lakh belonging to four Pakistan/PoK-settled terrorists under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) as part of its continued crackdown on terror-related assets.

Banihal, July 29, 2026: Acting in compliance with PHQ Order No. 1874 of 2026, conveyed vide Endorsement No. Legal/Seiz-27/III/25/6305-09 dated 24.06.2026, Ramban Police today attached the immovable properties of four Pakistan/PoK-settled terrorists (JKNOPs) under the provisions of Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The attached properties are as under, Abdul Rashid @ Bashir, S/o Late Abdul Aziz Chopan, R/o Zinhal, Banihal – Land under Khewat No. 22 measuring 11 Marlas (inherited), having an approximate value of ₹9.25 lakh.

Ghulam Rasool @ Badshah, S/o Late Mohd Bahru, R/o Kundan Khari – Land under Khewat No. 89 measuring 10 Kanals (cultivation rights only), having an approximate value of ₹60 lakh.

Abdul Latief Naik @ Sajjad, S/o Ali Mohd, R/o Koot Khari, Banihal – Land under Khewat Nos. 107/108 measuring 3 Kanals (inherited), having an approximate value of ₹20 lakh.

Mushtaq Ahmed, S/o Abdul Gani Hajam, R/o Chareel, Banihal – Land under Khewat No. 72 measuring 2 Marlas, having an approximate value of ₹1.52 lakh.

The action has been taken in accordance with the law as part of the sustained efforts of Jammu & Kashmir Police to dismantle the support structure of terrorism by denying terrorists and their associates the benefits of illegally held assets. Such legal measures are aimed at safeguarding public order and reinforcing the rule of law.

Ramban Police reiterates its commitment to taking strict legal action against terrorists, their associates, and all those involved in activities prejudicial to the security and integrity of the nation. (JKNS)
