Karnah, July 26 (JKNS): A grand and spiritually uplifting religious congregation was organized on Sunday at Madrasa Madina-tul-Uloom Nawa Gabra in Karnah, where a large number of scholars, students, parents, and local residents gathered to participate in the auspicious event.
The gathering was graced by the presence of several renowned Islamic scholars and Muftis from Kashmir, including Mufti Jaffar Qasmi Sahib, Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi Sahib, Mufti Shafeef-ur-Rehman Sahib, Mufti Muzaffar Jameel Sahib, Mufti Aijaz Ahmad Ziai Sahib, and Maulana Arshad Ameen Sahib. Their participation added great significance and dignity to the programme.
A major highlight of the event was the Dastarbandi (graduation ceremony) of a number of boys and girls who successfully completed the memorization (Hifz) of the Holy Qur’an.
The newly graduated Huffaz were honoured with turbans and prayers for their bright future and steadfastness in serving Islam.
In addition, students who successfully completed the Aalimiyat course were also felicitated through a special Dastarbandi ceremony in recognition of their years of dedication to Islamic education.As a mark of appreciation for the support and encouragement extended by families, the fathers of the graduating girls were also honoured with Dastarbandi, a gesture that was warmly appreciated by the attendees.
Addressing the gathering, the distinguished Muftis and scholars delivered enlightening speeches on various aspects of Islam.
They emphasized the importance of acquiring both religious and moral education, strengthening faith, following the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah, and preserving Islamic values in contemporary society.
The speakers also urged parents to provide their children with sound religious upbringing alongside modern education.
The scholars congratulated the graduating Huffaz, Aalim students, and their families, describing them as valuable assets of the Ummah.
They highlighted the immense virtues of memorizing the Holy Qur’an and acquiring Islamic knowledge, encouraging students to continue serving society through education, good character, and religious guidance.
The congregation concluded with collective prayers for peace, communal harmony, the well-being of the nation, and prosperity for the people.
