Kupwara, July 22 (JKNS): Aadil Manzoor Wani (JKAS) on Wednesday formally assumed charge as the new District Information Officer (DIO), Kupwara.
The charge was handed over by Iftakhar Naseem (JKAS), who welcomed the incoming officer and conveyed his best wishes for a successful and productive tenure.
After assuming office, Aadil Manzoor Wani reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the district’s information and public outreach mechanism. He said the department would continue to ensure the timely and accurate dissemination of information regarding government policies, developmental initiatives, and welfare schemes so that people remain well informed.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination with the media fraternity and various government departments to enhance transparency and ensure that information reaches every section of society, particularly residents of remote and border areas.
The newly appointed DIO also acknowledged the valuable contributions of his predecessor, Iftakhar Naseem, and expressed confidence that the Information Department would continue to serve the public with greater efficiency, professionalism, and dedication. (JKNS)
