Smart City Bus Conductor Critically Injured After Assaulted by Unknown Persons in Baramulla

Srinagar, July 13 (JKNS): A Smart City bus conductor was allegedly assaulted by unidentified persons inside a passenger bus in the Hartrath Singhpora area of Baramulla district on Monday, officials said.

Officials told news agency JKNS that the conductor, a resident of Armpora Habak, Magam, was working aboard a Smart City bus bearing registration number JK01AV-9765, which was travelling from Srinagar to Pattan, when some unknown persons allegedly attacked him inside the vehicle.

The injured conductor was initially shifted to Trauma Hospital Pattan for treatment. Owing to the severity of his injuries, doctors referred him to JVC Hospital Bemina, Srinagar for advanced medical care.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation to identify and trace the assailants. (JKNS)
