Srinagar, July 6 (JKNS): The Indian Army on Monday busted a terror hideout in the Keran sector of Kupwara district and recovered a significant cache of arms, ammunition and other war-like stores during a search operation launched on the basis of specific intelligence inputs.
According to a post shared by the Chinar Corps on X, as per news agency JKNS, the operation was launched on July 6 in the general area of Keran Sector following credible intelligence.
During the search, security forces unearthed a terror hideout and recovered five AK-series rifles, nine AK magazines, one hand grenade, a huge cache of ammunition and other war-like stores.
The recovery is being viewed as a major success in the Army’s ongoing counter-terror operations in the border district, aimed at preventing militant activities and infiltration attempts. (JKNS)
