MLA Kupwara Reaches Banglawali and Charizab, Reviews Cloudburst Damage, Assures Immediate Measures

Kupwara, July 4 (JKNS): MLA Kupwara, Mir Mohammad Fayaz, JKPDP visited the cloudburst-affected areas of Banglawali and Charizab, Moori Kalaroose, where heavy damage was caused by the recent cloudburst that struck four days ago.

During his visit, the MLA inspected the affected sites, where the mosque was washed away, several houses suffered severe damage, wheat flour stocks were completely destroyed, and the link road was badly damaged.

Interacting with the affected residents, Mir Mohammad Fayaz assured them that he had already taken up the issue with the concerned authorities. He said that a Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared in coordination with the Additional Chief Secretary, R&B Department, and all damages will be properly assessed so that restoration and compensation work can be taken up at the earliest.

The local residents expressed happiness over the visit, saying that this was the first time an MLA had personally visited their area to assess the damage and listen to their grievances.

Speaking to the media, Mir Mohammad Fayaz assured that all issues, including the damaged link road, protection walls, and other public infrastructure, will be addressed on priority, and every possible effort will be made to ensure timely relief and restoration for the affected people. (JKNS)
