Baramulla, July 1 (JKNS): At least six people were injured in a major road accident involving three vehicles at Zangam in the Pattan area of Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS, a dumper, an Alto 800, and a Scorpio collided on the Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway. The impact of the collision was so severe that all three vehicles were extensively damaged.
Soon after the accident, teams from the Jammu and Kashmir Police and Traffic Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Officials said some of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident. (JKNS)
