Pattan, July 1 (JKNS): A 60-year-old man was killed after being struck by a train near Zangam Flyover in the Pattan area of Baramulla district on Wednesday.

Officials told news agency JKNS, The deceased has been identified as Mohd Ramzan Malla (60), son of Ali Mohammad Malla, a resident of Hanjivera Payeen, Malpora.

The incident occurred near Railway Pole No. 92, where a train travelling from Budgam to Baramulla hit the man, resulting in his death on the spot.

Police rushed to the scene and shifted the body to CHC Pattan for medico-legal formalities. Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation. (JKNS)
