Anantnag, Jun 20 (JKNS): The District Magistrate Anantnag has imposed restrictions under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) around all notified centres for the NEET (UG)-2026 re-examination scheduled to be held on June 21 (Sunday).

According to an order issued by District Magistrate Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat (IAS), as per news agency JKNS, the restrictions will remain in force within a radius of 100 metres around the 29 designated examination centres across the district to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the examination.

The order states that the National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the NEET (UG)-2026 re-examination in the district and maintaining law and order is essential to prevent any external interference during the examination process.

However, the restrictions shall not apply to staff duly appointed for the conduct of the examination, members of the checking squad, and candidates appearing in the examination.

The order shall remain operative until the conclusion of the examination on June 21, the order reads.

The district administration has urged the public to cooperate with authorities and adhere to the restrictions to facilitate the smooth conduct of the examination. (JKNS)
