Srinagar, Jun 20 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday announced that the historic Naranag Temple in Ganderbal district has been reopened for devotees and tourists following a comprehensive security review.

In a post on X, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor as per news agency JKNS, stated that after a thorough assessment of the security situation, a decision had been taken to allow devotees and tourists to visit the temple.

“After thorough security review, decision has been taken to open the Naranag Temple at Ganderbal for devotees and tourists,” the LG Office said in the post.

The move is expected to facilitate pilgrimage and tourism activities at the ancient temple complex, which is one of the prominent heritage and religious sites in central Kashmir. (JKNS)
