Budgam, Jun 20 (JKNS): MLA Khansahib, Jenab Saif-ud-Din Bhat, chaired a review meeting at TRC Tangnar, Doodhpathri, to discuss various development and tourism-related initiatives aimed at enhancing the tourism potential and infrastructure in the Doodhpathri, Tosamaidan, and Khag areas.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on improving tourism infrastructure, strengthening road connectivity, and identifying new tourist destinations to promote tourism and attract a larger number of visitors to the region. Emphasis was also laid on ensuring better coordination among different departments for the timely execution of developmental projects.

 

 

 

 

Following the meeting, the MLA conducted an extensive field visit along the Drung–Bungla Pathri and Drung–Khanqah routes to identify additional locations suitable for tourism development. Various sites were inspected to assess their potential for the establishment of new tourist attractions and related facilities.

 

 

 

 

The meeting and subsequent field visit were attended by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khansahib, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Budgam, Tehsildar Khansahib, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Khansahib, and officers from the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department, PMGSY, Jal Shakti (PHE), and other concerned departments.

 

 

 

 

Addressing the gathering, Jenab Saif-ud-Din Bhat stressed the importance of close coordination and cooperation among all departments to accelerate developmental works and further strengthen tourism infrastructure in the region. He stated that the promotion of tourism would not only provide better facilities to visitors but would also create new employment opportunities for local youth and contribute significantly to the local economy.

 

 

 

 

During the inspection, several key locations along the routes were identified for future development. The concerned departments were directed to undertake the necessary follow-up actions and ensure the timely implementation of proposed projects. (JKNS)
