Srinagar, Jun 19 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday said it is committed to the early resumption of Gondola services in Gulmarg and is taking all necessary measures in coordination with the concerned agencies to restore operations.

A government spokesperson, in a statement issued to news agency JKNS, said the clarification comes in the context of recent claims circulating on social media regarding the Gondola services in Gulmarg.

The spokesperson said that following the events of May 25, 2026, efforts are underway to ensure that all necessary requirements are fulfilled before the services are made operational again.

“The government is committed to the early resumption of Gondola services. Following the events of 25th May 2026, all necessary measures are being taken in coordination with the concerned agencies to restore operations,” the statement said.

The spokesperson emphasized that the safety and security of tourists remain the foremost priority of the administration.

“Services will resume once all required safeguards are in place,” the statement added. (JKNS)
