Srinagar, Jun 15 (JKNS): Srinagar International Airport on Monday celebrated Yatri Suvidha Diwas with a series of passenger-centric, cultural and social activities aimed at enhancing public engagement and promoting awareness about passenger services and community welfare.
As per news agency JKNS, The celebrations commenced with the rendition of “Vande Mataram”, followed by a Plantation drive conducted in the esteemed presence of Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, SSP, Budgam, and other dignitaries.
Passengers and visitors enthusiastically participated in various attractions, including vibrant Cultural performances in the Arrival Hall, an engaging Selfie point featuring government initiatives on development, and “Paint Your Ideas” canvas stations, where passengers showcased their artistic talents through paintings and sketches.
A Cleanliness drive was organised to promote awareness about maintaining a clean environment. Health check-up camps for stakeholders and passengers, along with a Blood donation camp, were also conducted within the terminal premises.
Interactive quiz sessions added to the festive atmosphere, with winners receiving prizes for their participation. The occasion also recognised the invaluable contributions of the women workforce and other staff members whose dedication ensures the smooth functioning of airport operations.
A special highlight of the day was the visit of students from neighbouring schools, including specially-abled children, who were given an opportunity to experience and learn about the airport environment.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, making the celebration both memorable and inspiring for all participants (JKNS)
