Kupwara, Jun 13 (JKNS): A 19-year-old resident of Muzaffarabad in (PoK) was apprehended in the Karnah sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district after allegedly crossing into this side of the Line of Control (LoC).
Official sources told news agency JKNS that the individual, identified as Assad Khan, son of Janzib Khan and a resident of Muzaffarabad, PoK, was apprehended in the Seemari area of Karnah.
According to sources, local residents noticed the youth in the area and detained him before handing him over to the authorities.
He is presently in custody and is being questioned. Necessary legal formalities are being carried out, while further investigation into the matter is underway, they added.(JKNS)
