Srinagar, Jun 8 (JKNS): A labourer died after falling from a height while working at an under-construction house in the Habak area of Srinagar on Monday, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS, the deceased has been identified as Tariq Ahmad Kathoo (38), son of Ghulam Nabi Kathoo, a resident of Khawaja Bagh, Tailbal.
Officials said that Tariq Ahmad was working at an under-construction house in Habak when he reportedly lost balance and fell from a height, sustaining critical injuries.
He was immediately shifted to PHC Habak, where doctors declared him dead.
Later body was shifted to the SMHS Hospital for medico-legal formalities and radiological examination.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings. (JKNS)
