Rajouri, June 8 (JKNS): At least 15 passengers were injured after a bus overturned in Rajouri district on Monday, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the accident occurred after the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle, causing the bus to overturn on the road.
Soon after the mishap, police personnel, emergency responders and local residents rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. The injured passengers were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Hospital authorities said the injured were provided immediate medical assistance and are undergoing treatment. Their condition is stated to be stable.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
