MLA Wagoora-Kreeri, Advocate Irfan Hafeez Lone, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of renewable energy and said that public awareness about government welfare schemes is essential to ensure that people fully benefit from such initiatives. He noted that similar awareness programmes had previously been organized by the concerned department, where detailed information regarding the scheme and its long-term benefits was shared with the public.

The MLA described the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana as a significant initiative for households, stating that it would help reduce electricity expenses while encouraging the use of clean energy. He expressed hope that more people would understand the scheme and take advantage of its benefits.

Speaking on the occasion, senior PDP leader Basharat Bukhari appreciated the efforts being made to raise awareness about solar energy. He stated that the solar systems installed under the scheme come with a 25-year warranty and five years of service support, making them a reliable and sustainable investment for consumers.

Bukhari expressed confidence that Shah Digital Empire, which is playing an active role in the promotion and implementation of the scheme, would meet the expectations of the people and help increase public participation. He also urged young people to explore opportunities in emerging sectors such as renewable energy while taking into consideration their interests, talents, and career aspirations.

The speakers appealed to the public to avail themselves of the benefits offered under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and contribute towards building a cleaner, greener, and energy-secure future. (JKNS)
