Karnah, Jun 4 (JKNS): In a significant initiative aimed at strengthening the educational ecosystem in the far-flung border areas of Karnah Valley, Chief Education Officer Kupwara, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Najar, undertook an extensive four-day tour of Zones Tangdhar and Chamkote.
The visit ensures the quality education, and direct engagement with stakeholders in some of the most remote educational institutions of the district.
During the intensive tour, he visited several educational institutions situated in the remotest corners of Karnah Valley, including Government middle schools at Jabdi, Forward Bijaldar, Batlan, Semari, Teetwal, Prada, Gundisayidan, Nawagabra and many other peripheral areas. The visit provided an opportunity to assess the ground realities of educational institutions, review academic progress, evaluate infrastructure requirements, and interact directly with students, teachers, parents, and members of the local community.
One of the most notable highlights of the tour was the visit to schools located in Jabdi and Forward Bijaldar. Local residents and school authorities informed the CEO that this was the first-ever visit of a Chief Education Officer to these institutions since the establishment of the school. The visit was warmly welcomed by the community, who appreciated his efforts of reachinh even the most inaccessible educational institutions.
Similarly, during his visit to Government School Batlan, local inhabitants and staff members expressed satisfaction and stated that no Chief Education Officer had previously visited the institution. His presence in these remote schools was viewed as a significant morale booster for both students and teaching staff.
Throughout the tour, He conducted detailed inspections of school facilities, reviewed attendance and academic records, examined the implementation of various educational initiatives, and encouraged students to remain focused on their studies and co-curricular activities. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high academic standards, ensuring regular attendance, and creating a learner-friendly environment in all institutions.
He also held extensive interactions with teachers and Heads of Institutions, discussing various academic and administrative issues. He patiently listened to their concerns, suggestions, and challenges and assured them that genuine issues would be taken up with the appropriate authorities for necessary redressal. He stressed the importance of teamwork, dedication, and accountability in achieving the goals of quality education.
The culmination of the four-day tour was marked by a comprehensive review meeting held at Boys Higher Secondary School Nachiyan on the fourth day at 4:00 PM. The meeting was attended by Principals, Heads of Higher Secondary Schools, Zonal Education Officers, Headmasters, Head Teachers, and First Teachers from across Karnah Valley. During the session, the Chief Education Officer reviewed the overall educational scenario of the valley and held detailed deliberations on academic performance, enrollment trends, implementation of government schemes, infrastructure development, student welfare,Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan and measures for improving learning outcomes.
The participants appreciated his proactive approach and his decision to personally visit remote schools and engage directly with field functionaries. The meeting served as an important platform for constructive dialogue and collaborative planning for the future development of the education sector in Karnah Valley.
