Karnah, Jun 4 (JKNS): Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah, Mohd Raiyaz (JKAS), on Thursday held his first formal interaction with local media representatives following his posting in the border sub-division.
The meeting, held in the SDM’s office chamber, was attended by journalists and reporters representing various media organizations operating in the region. SDM described the media as the fourth pillar of democracy and emphasized its crucial role in bridging the gap between the administration and the public. He stated that the media has a significant responsibility in disseminating information about government welfare schemes and developmental programmes, enabling people to fully benefit from them.
Mohd Raiyaz urged media personnel to continue highlighting public concerns while ensuring the timely and accurate dissemination of information regarding developmental activities and government initiatives.
The participating journalists also shared their views and expressed optimism about enhanced coordination and constructive engagement between the administration and the media fraternity in Karnah.
The interaction concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthening cooperation in the interest of public welfare and effective governance in the region.
Besides that worthy SDM also paid a surprise visit to Sub District Hospital Tangdhar and reviewed health facilities and interacted with health staff. (JKNS)
