The appointment has been approved by the competent authority and will be governed by the standard terms and conditions applicable to central deputation, the order states.

As per the memorandum, Birdi will serve in the CRPF at Level-14 of the Pay Matrix and has been directed to take over his new responsibilities at the earliest.

The Ministry has also requested the concerned authorities to relieve him immediately to facilitate his joining at the Centre without delay.

Birdi is presently serving as IGP Kashmir and has held several key policing and security assignments during his career. His appointment comes shortly after the Centre approved waiver of his cooling-off period, making him eligible for immediate central deputation.

Further orders regarding his relieving and replacement in the Kashmir Zone are awaited. (JKNS)
