Eid-ul-Adha is not merely a festival for Muslims but a sacred occasion commemorating the great sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS). Keeping this spirit alive, the people of Karnah are making wholehearted preparations to fulfill this important religious obligation.

Residents from different areas are visiting livestock markets and local bazaars where sheep, goats, cows, and other animals have been brought for sale.

From morning till evening, Karnah’s markets remain crowded with buyers. Youngsters, elders, and children alike are enthusiastically participating in Eid shopping. Children, in particular, seem excited about spending time with sacrificial animals, decorating them, and taking care of them.

In many places, children can be seen feeding the animals and taking photographs with their favorite ones.

Local traders say that business activity has significantly improved ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.

Shops selling clothes, shoes, sweets, dry fruits, and household items are also witnessing heavy rush. Women are busy preparing special dishes and making arrangements for guests, while tailors and butchers are experiencing an increased workload due to the festive season.

Although the prices of sacrificial animals have risen this year, the spirit of sacrifice among the people remains strong. Many families are opting for collective sacrifices to fulfill the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) in a better and more affordable manner. People believe that despite inflation, the happiness and spiritual significance of Eid-ul-Adha outweigh all material concerns.

Preparations are equally vibrant in rural areas, where people are busy cleaning and decorating their homes and arranging for the reception of guests.

The younger generation is also actively sharing pictures and videos of Eid preparations and sacrificial animals on social media, adding further excitement to the festive atmosphere.

Religious scholars, on this occasion, have urged people to remember the true message of Eid-ul-Adha, sacrifice, selflessness, brotherhood, and helping the needy. They emphasized that sacrifice is not only about slaughtering animals but also about sacrificing one’s ego, selfishness, and personal desires for the sake of Allah.

With Eid-ul-Adha approaching, Karnah Valley is witnessing a beautiful atmosphere of happiness, unity, and religious devotion.

The people hope that this blessed occasion will bring peace, prosperity, and harmony to the region. (JKNS)
