Girls Middle School Batpora Narbal Organises Grand Retirement Function in Honour of Abdul Majid Sheikh

Budgam, May 25 (JKNS): A grand and dignified retirement function was organised at Girls Middle School (GMS) Batpora, Narbal, in honour of Mr. Abdul Majid Sheikh, Head of Institution (HOI), on the occasion of his superannuation from government service.

The event was attended by teachers, education department officials, members of the academic community, students, and other distinguished guests who gathered to pay rich tributes to Mr. Sheikh for his outstanding contributions to the field of education.

On the occasion, JK Teachers Forum (JKTF) Chairman Mr. Mohammad Shafi Rather attended as the Chief Guest. Speakers described Abdul Majid Sheikh as a dedicated educationist, capable administrator, and compassionate mentor who devoted his entire career to the promotion of education and the holistic development of students.

 

Addressing the gathering, speakers highlighted his integrity, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to quality education. They noted that throughout his service, he played a vital role in improving academic standards, guiding teachers, and creating a positive learning environment for students.

 

Participants expressed their gratitude for his years of selfless service and stated that his leadership, guidance, and contributions to education would always be remembered. They further remarked that his personality and achievements would continue to inspire future generations of educators.

 

Speaking on the occasion, JKTF Chairman Mohammad Shafi Rather appreciated Mr. Sheikh’s remarkable services and extended his best wishes for a healthy, prosperous, and fulfilling retired life.

 

In his address, Mr. Abdul Majid Sheikh thanked his colleagues, students, and well-wishers for their support and cooperation throughout his career. He urged teachers to continue discharging their responsibilities with honesty, dedication, and commitment.

 

Emotional scenes were witnessed during the function as teachers and staff members bid farewell to their respected Head of Institution. Several speakers observed that his absence would be deeply felt within educational circles.

 

The programme concluded with the presentation of mementoes and tokens of appreciation to Mr. Sheikh. Special prayers were also offered for his good health, happiness, and success in his post-retirement life.

 

The event ended with a heartfelt message:

“We are deeply grateful for your guidance, inspiration, and years of selfless service. Your contributions to the field of education will always be remembered.” (JKNS)
