Srinagar, May 23 (JKNS): Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly and senior BJP leader Sunil Kumar Sharma on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, alleging that he has remained absent from public issues while people across Jammu and Kashmir continue to face hardships.

In a video statement, as per news agency JKNS, Sharma claimed that the Chief Minister was “missing from the ground” for the last several days despite growing public grievances related to electricity and water shortages in different parts of the Union Territory.

“The poor people of Jammu and Kashmir who made a prince the Chief Minister are now suffering. The same prince who was once rejected has gone missing for the past few days,” Sharma said.

The BJP leader also took a dig at Omar Abdullah over his reported foreign visit, saying he was unaware whether the Chief Minister was in “London or England,” but alleged that he was “sitting outside” while people were struggling back home.

Sharma further said that the BJP would soon approach Ram Munshi Bagh Police Station in Srinagar to file a “missing report” against the Chief Minister. (JKNS)
