Pulwama Driver Killed, One Injured After Tata Mobile Hits Parked Truck in Banihal

Banihal, May 21 (JKNS): A driver from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district was killed while another person sustained injuries after a Tata Mobile vehicle rammed into a parked truck at Kharpora Chowk in Banihal area of Ramban district on Thursday morning.

Officials told news agency JKNS that the accident took place in the early morning hours, when the Tata Mobile collided with a stationary truck near Kharpora Chowk, resulting in the driver’s death on the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmed Kumhar, son of Mohammad Ismail, a resident of Pulwama district.

One injured person was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital Banihal for treatment.

Banihal Police along with an NHAI ambulance team promptly reached the accident site and carried out rescue operations.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further investigation has been initiated. (JKNS)
