Srinagar, May 21 (JKNS): Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Alshay Labroo on Thursday said that work on the proposed improvements at Badshah Bridge and Cement Kadal will begin shortly after the approval of district CAPEX funds.

Speaking to reporters, Labroo, as per news agency JKNS, said that the administration had recently visited Badshah Bridge and Cement Kadal and completed the required estimations for the works.

“We have completed the estimation and the district CAPEX approval is expected very soon. The work will start shortly,” he said.

The Deputy Commissioner said the administration is making comprehensive arrangements to ensure smooth Eid celebrations across Srinagar city.

He said that detailed meetings have already been held with all line departments, including those dealing with electricity, drinking water, roads, sanitation, food safety and revenue matters, to review preparedness ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.

“We are trying to ensure that citizens do not face any inconvenience before or after Eid celebrations,” Labroo said.

He further extended advance Eid greetings to the people of Srinagar and wished them a peaceful and joyful festival. (JKNS)
