Srinagar, May 14 (JKNS): An unidentified non-local man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Badiwudar area of Sangam area of Srinagar, during late night hours, officials said on Thursday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the body was spotted lying near agricultural fields in the area, following which police rushed to the spot and took the body into custody.
Prima facie seems, the deceased appears to be a male non-local and no visible injury marks were found on the body during initial examination, officials said.
The body has been shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for medico-legal formalities, while police have initiated proceedings to ascertain the identity of the deceased and determine the cause of death. Further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
